If you hold a broker license

Brokers get the same recognition at their tier, plus a 15-hour Broker in Charge course and a 50-question exam at $90 passing at 75 percent. Issuance is $265 broker associate, $300 managing or branch broker, $420 broker proprietor. The transfer rules skip the 10-transaction test and the 90-hour Advanced course, but no one is licensed higher than they already are, and a proprietor or branch broker needs an Oklahoma office.

Working in Oklahoma without a Oklahoma license

On a single deal Not inside Oklahoma. 59 O.S. 858-306(C) allows a cooperative brokerage agreement with an Oklahoma broker, but 605:10-7-9(h) fences it, each broker works only where licensed. Any licensed act on Oklahoma property, in person or remote, needs a license.

Referrals Not clearly. Oklahoma has no referral rule, 858-312(14) and (21) punish paying an unlicensed person, and 858-359(C) permits compensating only OREC licensees. A pure out-of-state referral is confirming, so paper it as a cooperative agreement.

Watch out in Oklahoma

Clocks stack and none match. Certification 60 days, background check 6 months, an approved resident application 90 days, a nonresident one 1 year, a passing score 1 year.
Inactive time never counts on the nonresident path. An inactive license out of state drops you to original-applicant status, the full 90 hours, the entire exam, a provisional license.
